God: So you will want to seed life throughout the galaxy and you will want to figure out the best way to transport that life.

Me: Ah, I’ve heard of that. Life came from space.
God: In your case it did and that is the reason for so much of your suffering.
Me: How so?
God: These "others" realized that evolution is a natural process of the universe. Put a simple life form in enough habitable environments and eventually life will evolve.
Me: So where does the suffering come in to the picture?
God: Because these others also realized they could help the process along by introducing a “predatorial” preference into the life they sowed. Life evolves much more quickly if life forms predate on others.
Me: You mean there are places in the universe where there aren’t predators?
God: Absolutely. It’s quite possible to exist on the scavenging of life forms that have died, rather than taking the next step of killing living things for your own survival.
Me: You know, I’ve often thought that, that all our problems come down to being predators.
God: Yes, and only now are you beginning to question your predatorial instincts as a species. It's an exciting time for humans.

God: No, but the luckiest people are those who can see the many different vantage points and can see why everyone is "right". For the most part predators cannot see the many different sides of things though, they can only see their own viewpoint and inflict it on others.
